palm reading
Chanced upon this test in my email.. tot try for fun. not easy to do cuz hard to match my lines to the options. but heres wat results reveal about me!
Hui, the shape of your hand reveals that you are especially good at Living each day to its fullestThe signs we read in your palm indicate you have much to gain by experiencing every day as if it were your last. By putting directed energy toward getting all that you can from life, your efforts will be returned multi-fold.
A Life Line origin high and close to their index finger live life to its fullest
A variable depth Head Line have widely varying levels of concentration
A Heart Line destination curving toward their middle finger are highly expressive
Rounded fingers and thumbs are impressionable
A pink Mound of Saturn have a high sense of self worth and are reliable and cautious
Palmists can learn a substantial amount from the lines of your palm. The four major lines are your Life Line, Head Line, Heart Line, and Destiny Line. From your Life Line, a palmist can tell what your general approach to life is and how you deal with life's challenges. Your Head Line reveals how you process information and think through problems. Your Heart Line can give a palmist insight into your personal relationships, including friends, family, and significant other(s). Your Destiny Line pertains to changes in your personal drive and focus over time. In addition, a palmist can read some of the lesser lines — if they are present in your palm — for information on your level of creativity, communication skill, and attachments you may have or will have with others throughout your life.
Life Line reveals your approach to life and how you handle uncertainty or hardship. It is a common misconception that the Life Line can tell you when you will die. Even persons with relatively short Life Lines can live a long life. Generally, the information that can be gleaned from your Life Line pertains to your overall outlook and the ease with which you will travel through your life.
You have a natural ability to show your love and sympathy for others. You are generally supportive when friends or family come to you for assistance. One of the most important things to you in life is to make sure that you are living in the moment. You tend not to worry too much about the past or the future. Anytime you start to experience any regrets, it likely stems from a sense of losing your focus on living life in the present. When you are confronted with difficulties in life, you may sometimes have trouble expressing yourself. With this challenge, it is hard to ask for help when you really need it.
Head Line reveals how you process information and think through problems. It is a common misconception that the Head Line can tell you how intelligent you are. Persons with various styles of Head Lines can be very smart, but in different ways. Primarily, the information that can be gathered from your Head Line pertains to your particular way of understanding the information you come into contact with throughout your life.
When it comes to leadership, you are probably quite comfortable in either the role of the leader or the follower. Since taking charge is not necessarily something you covet, you are usually fine with stepping aside to let someone else take the lead. However, if no one else steps up, you know you are capable of taking on the leader role. Your thought process tends to be a balance of rational and imaginative approaches. While you can solve complex problems when necessary, you may also enjoy listening to your intuition when faced with decision-making. Your ability to draw on both rational and intuitive parts of your brain may be confusing to some, especially if your ability to do so is sporadic or inconsistent. You can enjoy a wide range of projects and may possess an array of problem solving skills. However, the intensity of your ability to focus or concentrate can widely vary, depending on what you are doing. When you have a choice, you'd probably rather research and investigate multiple options simultaneously. You are likely a master multi-tasker who enjoys having many balls in the air at the same time.
Heart Line reveals how you handle the relationships in your life and how comfortable you are with intimacy. It is a common misconception that the Heart Line can tell you definitively what relationships you will have in the future. On average, the information that can be collected from your Heart Line indicates the influences in your life that have in the past or will in the future affect your personal relationships, including friends, family, and significant other(s).
Your ability to be intimate with others may be influenced by a lack of commitment. You may find it difficult to make emotional promises, even if you are married. People you don't know well may find you somewhat distant. In a tight knit relationship, you tend to be an independent person with a calm and cool disposition. Your ideal life mate will likely prize you for your loyalty and practicality. At times, you may find that you get yourself into trouble in your relationships by being too isolated and inattentive.
Destiny Line (also called the Saturn Line) reveals changes in your personal drive and focus over time. There is much that a palmist can tell about your career and/or personal drive, including approximate timing of major events or changes — just by looking at the Destiny Line! Primarily, the information garnered from your Destiny Line on your right palm — the Palm you looked at to answer the questions on this test — pertains to your career. In turn, the information gathered from your Destiny Line on your left palm pertains to your personal sense of purpose.
Since you do not have a Destiny Line in your right palm, a palmist can tell that you don't focus a large amount of energy toward your future career goals. You may prefer to let things come to you in time and don't spend a great deal of time planning ahead. However, when you are particularly inspired, you are capable of intense moments of productivity. When your interest in the project ceases, however, you tend to resume your more casual approach to life.
Apollo Line can predict your level of creativity and flexibility, although not everyone has an Apollo Line; it is a vertical line that appears below your ring finger.
The absence of an Apollo Line in your palm does not indicate a lack of creativity or flexibility. Rather, it suggests that you're about average or slightly above in creativity. Although, it could mean that you may not receive recognition as an expert or specialist in your field.
Mercury Line can foretell your skill at communication or psychic ability. However, not everyone has a Mercury Line; it is a vertical line that appears below your pinky finger.
If you don't have a Mercury Line in your palm, it doesn't represent a lack of communication skills. Usually, it suggests you land around average or slightly above in your public speaking skills. Otherwise, there is a chance that you may not listen to your intuition as closely as those with a Mercury Line. Your palm does not contain the Line of Psychic Ability, which resembles an arc that is an extension of a person's Mercury Line. While psychics do not always have the Line of Psychic Ability, those who have the line can more easily tap into their paranormal skills. While you may have psychic abilities, you will likely have a more difficult time accessing them than someone with the Line of Psychic Ability.
The Attachment Lines reveal the major relationships you may have with others. Traditional palmists engage in ample debate about the validity of these lines as predictions of marriages and children. However, most agree that the attachment lines indicate the possibility that a person might marry or have children, whether they choose to or not is a decision left to the individual.
A palmist would say that you will be married one time or have one committed relationship that does not lead to marriage. At some point, you will need to make a decision that will either lead to more involvement or push you away from this relationship. A palmist would say that you probably won't choose to bring children into your life, although the opportunity to do so is there for you.
The mounds of your palm can tell you what kinds of energy you possess naturally and which energies will be more difficult for you to access. Through a careful examination of the fleshy areas of your hand, you can learn which areas of life you will be most likely to find success. The following traits were determined by looking at the shape and color of different areas of your hand.
The Mound of Jupiter — located in the upper right corner of your palm, just below your index finger — is related to your personal power, your hopes and ambitions, and your ability to lead others.
You are blessed with a strong Mound of Jupiter. So, what does that mean? When you are at your best, the clear goals you set go hand-in-hand with your self-motivated direction. Together these qualities tend to set you apart from others as a strong leader.
The Mound of Saturn — located in the upper portion of your palm, just below your middle finger — is related to your concept of self-worth, personal satisfaction, and security.Your palm reveals a somewhat poor Mound of Saturn, as affirmed by its shape and color. You probably don't have an innate gift for self-reflection or personal accountability. To tap into your inner tranquility all you need to do is put forth the commitment to change. It's well within your reach!
The Mound of Apollo — located in the upper portion of your palm, just below your ring finger — is related to self-expression, originality, and recognition of your talents by others. Unfortunately, your Mound of Apollo is not the strongest, as revealed by its bleak shape and color. What effect does that have on you? Well, you tend not to focus on your imagination. You come up with ideas inside the box, and thinking quick on your feet is not a strength you possess. Don't fret, the artist inside is screaming to come out. To unveil this quality demands some effort on your part.
The Mound of Mercury — located in the upper portion of your palm, just below your pinky finger — is related to intimacy, spiritual understanding, and interpersonal communication. You can tell by its great shape and color that a healthy dose of Mound of Mercury sits in your palm. When things are going well for you, one could say that communicating clearly is your strong point. You really understand what makes people tick. Others feel comfortable sharing intimate details of their life with you that they may not with others. Family and friends look to you as a deep and insightful confidant.
The Upper Mound of Mars located in the middle left portion of your palm — is related to inner calm, boldness, and skill at dealing with life's problems. The plump shape and color in your palm signifies a strong Upper Mound of Mars. When you have your best foot forward, you have the uncanny ability to maintain your cool in the midst of chaos. This singles you out from the rest as an exceptionally stable and brave individual.
The Lower Mound of Mars — located in the middle right portion of your palm — is related to action, aggressiveness, and the momentum to make things happen. You're all that, with your strong Lower Mound of Mars, as indicated by its healthy shape and color. On your best days, your take-charge attitude makes people stop and listen. This is a great attribute along with your energetic approach to life that is contagious. You stand out above others as extremely motivated.
The Mound of Venus — located in the lower right portion of your palm — is related to love, sympathy, and depth of emotion. You have a powerful Mound of Venus, as exemplified by its vibrant shape and color. At your brightest moments, your thoughtfulness and caring demeanor shine through as one of your best strengths. These traits set you apart from the rest. Others often want to cry on your shoulder. Hence you possess such a great skill for counseling and have handed out your fair share of advice.
The Mound of Moon — located in the lower left portion of your palm — is related to intuition, mental acuity, and adeptness with thinking outside the box. As illustrated by its awesome shape and color, you have a mighty Mound of Moon. When you're at your best, your inventiveness can lead you to truly original ideas that most people wouldn't think of.
Your Fingers and ThumbWhile you may not consider the fingers and thumbs as part of a palm reading, they really do play a significant part of a traditional hand analysis. Palmists read signs in the fingers and thumb as well as using them as landmarks for other parts of the reading. The interpretation of the mounds and lines of the palm are highly influenced by their proximity to each finger and the thumb. The shape of your fingers and thumb reveal that you are an impressionable person. You are open to the influences in the world around you, yet you generally don't act in drastic ways. Moderation is key for you. The finger and thumb shape create energies that influence the reading of each of your fingers and thumb and by extension, your entire palm.
Your index finger, also called the Jupiter Finger, traditionally corresponds with leadership abilities. Your Jupiter Finger is strong which means you probably enjoy being in charge. You'll likely prefer to have a team of people working under your direction and enjoy guiding people to meet their potential. Your index finger leans in toward your middle finger, indicating your need to know that others feel good about you. While gaining approval from your peers is a positive thing, you need to sustain a solid sense of self-worth. Becoming dependent on positive feedback won't help you in the long run. Your middle finger, also called the Saturn Finger, traditionally corresponds with confidence. Your palm bears a strong Saturn Finger. One could probably bet your sense of self- worth ranks high. It is more likely that you take risks in life because you believe in your ability to succeed. Your ring finger, also called the Apollo Finger, traditionally corresponds with creativity. You have a strong Apollo Finger, which may mean you were born with your own creative nature. You probably love contributing to the world in ways that challenge you to think of unusual and original methods of doing things. Your ring finger leans in toward your middle finger, indicating your concern for the consequences of your actions. This tendency may be hampering your creativity because you are always thinking in terms of boundaries and limitations. Your pinky finger, also called the Mercury Finger, traditionally corresponds with insight and understanding. You are blessed with a strong Mercury Finger. As a result, you probably find that you have a natural talent for understanding other people. Your friends usually routinely turn to you for your insight. Your guidance helps them understand their interactions with others. Your pinky finger leans in toward your ring finger, indicating your ability to blend in with most groups and social situations. Your thumb can be read to ascertain your level of flexibility when it comes to dealing with people or unpredictable situations. Your thumb proves that you can be somewhat stubborn at times. It may be to such an extent that you struggle with radical changes.

By putting directed energy toward getting all that you can from life, your efforts will be returned multi-fold.

went home together w LC today. surprise surprise that i checked with her if shes wants to go back together. she seemed kinda surprise but sounded happy that i asked her if she wana leave together. i was surprised at myself too. maybe cuz now don reali have to work together on same project, less interaction at work so start to appreciate the nicer side of her. sigh, i shd just be thankful that i don have nasty n backstabbing colleagues n bosses!
anyway the bus ride home turned out to b a 45min health talk haha.. wow LC can really talk.. she talked non-stopped! i gathered the following from her:
1. meat is no good. evidence: Meat eaters like tigers/lions pant harder after a long run as compared to grass eaters like horses.
2. too much meat can cause u to have arithritis when u r old
3. milk is no good. soya bean milk is better
4. having regular periods is not necessarily gd sign. cld mean u have over active hormones.
5. where are all the good TCM clinics and wat each clinic specialise in
6. the difference between a cyst and a fibroid. cyst is non-cancerous and fibrous can turn cancerous.
7. u need to clear yr system at least twice a day (i tot once a day is gd enuff!)
now i know why she only eat veg for lunch and declined all my M&Ms...
watever it is... i still believe in:
1. Eating everything in moderation!
2. Life and death is pre-destined. (Living healthy is the way to go and if still kena sickness, then its the will of good)
yawn!!! looking forward to next week when bosses not around! juz wished i was travelling with em too! shanghai hkg kL.. so shiok! my time will come.. i hope!

| The Part of You That No One Sees |
![]() Underneath it all, you are scared that you aren't lovable.Your insecurity has ruined many relationships, as you are unable to see the love that's really there. You are secretly afraid of being alone. Confronting your insecurities is incredibly painful. |
came across tis quiz and tried it.. ha.. unexpected interpretation but gota admit some element of truth in it....
saturday nite
Met up with rufie, ed, hl & her bf last nite at holland v. The last time all of us met up was my birthday last year? tis grp of friends r special to me, even tho we meet up only on each others' birthdays. its amazing to know that we were jc classmates for only a mere 3mths but our friendship has come a long way since... tis yr is the 10th! omg...
anway.. it was raining again last evening and hl says its rains whenever we r there.. ha.. maybe there is a raincloud above us? we cldnt decide wat to eat and ended up having the Katong laksa and nasi lemak opposite Provence bakery. Food was disappointing and service was bad. we headed for settler's after dinner. ed suggested gg there for games cuz he remembered i was talking abt it sometime bac.. we had fun playing stupid reflex games.. i cant remember the names except uglydolls. it requires focus, sharpness and speed! ha, will play it again on my next visit. we played a brainy game - citadel. cld have won if rufie had not destroyed 1 of towers :S ha anyway it was great fun!
woke up tis morning and 1st thing ah min told me was that there was a murder case last nite at holland v. picked up the papers and read abt it. got a shock cuz it was near our dinner place but thankfully we left 30min before the incident happened. otherwise will witness the scary scene. den i will get nitemares... whew....

friendships - older the better?
heavy topic today... its gd fri but didnt start out too gd for me. smthg got me tinking abt e friendships i have..
somehow i feel my closest friends often are the ones who put me down with their insensitive remarks... or were those meant as mean jokes? i really dun noe. i noe most of them has commented tat im quite xiao qi. i tink so but sometimes the situation just went beyond my limits. prob reali too sensitive on my side but still feel hurt by some of their occassional curt remarks :S
ok jio-ed chao and ru for lunch today. it was impromptu cuz my original plans to go hot yoga with silvia today was cancelled only last nite (after listening to all the unpleasant experiences the other gals had). so i was feeling bored tis morning so asked em out for lunch. anyway i offered to pick both of them up to vivo. in the end, the 1st remark i got from ru when they got into the car? "oh we were wondering whose the 'cannot make it' driver".. yes they meant me and it wasnt said in a joking manner.. it felt quite hurtful. at that moment, i tink i wld be happier lazing around at home.. didnt even felt like driving anymore. felt so off.. i tink i wont bother to drive the next time we r out.
well the insensitivity didnt end there. on the way to vivo, ah ru was complaining she was feeling sleepy and asked why we suddenly decided to meet. i said cuz i was feeling bored. and her reply? "oh hui, you must be feeling so kong xu"... my god... y do i have friends who talk like tat? now i duno whens the next time i'll ask the gals out.. i juz feel so disappointed that my friends talk like tat... sometimes jing makes some remarks tat is hurtful too. careless they maybe but it never feels gd at the receiver end. they are closest friends yet the least encouraging. Comments on my job changes, my lousy driving (its not fanastic but it gets me from pt A to pt B safe and sound so wat the heck?).. well the list goes on. why? whenever i offer some job advice or share interview experiences, the first thing wld be "ya hui very experienced cuz she changed 3 jobs already".. .. sometimes maybe im better off not talking at all.
strange tat these come from friendships i have maintained for 10 over yrs.. i tink im beginning to feel tired of having to listen to the some of the same remarks over and over again... juz too tiring.

i miss my long hair!
so tong ku!
squeezed in some time to visit the hair salon today. my hair was getting outa shape and messy.. its was curling in all directions. cant help it cuz its at the most tong ku stage - shoulder length!
sigh so no choice went to see kris again to get a trim and neaten it. still debating if i shd let it grow or cut short again. kris said she'll maintain the length but will layer more to give my hair more volume. sounds gd juz like wat i needed. but i got abit unsure when she started snipping cuz it was like 3-4 inches off! in the end.. it seemed more like a haircut den a trim. sigh.. my hair is shorter den my last cut to short hair. jas asked if i now regretted cutting my hair.. i didnt.. tink i need a change since its been long hair since jc days? but now i juz feel tat the growing bac process is so long and tong ku! now with my even shorter length i tink i will haf to survive with short hair for 2007! boohoohoo......... i miss my long hair.. can anyone give me shampoos that can make your hair grow faster??

phamton of the opera!

juz came back from esplanade after watching phamton... it was realli goooooodd!!! thanks to ah min (and her co. who 'sponsered' our stall 1 tickets)!
the props, the setup, special effects and the cast were all so good! best amongst all the plays i watched so far (mama mia, sound of music, the one abt cixi..)! i wld rate it 5stars... i started to feel excited only after i sat into the theatre. we had bght the tics late last yr so the excitement abt the play has gone down since the wait was quite long.. almost 4mths? well, the cast didnt disappoint. the musical was done with all professionalism im reali impressed!
stealed a shot of the stage set and the famous chandelier during the interval (yes i was caught and reminded by one of the staff.. so pai say.. i was juz feelin bored while waiting for the show to start mah.. kekeke..)
